Quincy Quarry and Granite Workers Museum

The Quincy Quarry and Granite Workers Museum was founded in 2008 to preserve the rich granite history of Quincy and surrounding towns. The museum maintains the inclined plane railway part of the granite railway, the first commercial railroad in the United States located at the end of Mullens Ave., West Quincy. The museum has two window displays of historical artifacts and historical pictures located at 1418 Hancock Street, Quincy Center and a pictorial display in the lobby of Quincy City Hall.
