The Hike Barnstable Challenge is part of Barnstable Land Trust's (BLT's) 40th Anniversary celebration, and launches on Saturday, June 3, National Trails Day. Sponsored in part by Cape Cod Healthcare, the three-month challenge will end on Monday, September 4, 2023. This fun self-paced challenge is FREE to participate in with the goal of encouraging hikers of all ages and abilities to get outside and explore at least 40 miles on Town of Barnstable trails during June, July, and August. We encourage people to preregister to insure that you will be among the first to learn about special health and wellness programs being offered this summer as part of the Hike Barnstable Challenge. Whether you're going for a hike on Barnstable Land Trust trails, exploring the town's protected lands in one of its seven (7) villages, discovering a new place from one of our four new hiking guides, or exploring Downtown Hyannis' 1-mile long Pollinator Pathway on Main Street, we hope everyone will join the Hike Barnstable Challenge.
