Hidden Gem: Located on the Williams College campus, the Hopkins Observatory is the oldest extant astronomical observatory in the United States, constructed in 1838 by Professor Albert Hopkins. Located on the campus, it features the historic 7-inch Alvan Clark refracting telescope and houses the Milham Planetarium.
