Greater Boston

Check out the stops along the Freedom Trail, including the U.S.S. Constitution and the Boston Common. Sports fans absolutely must schedule a visit to Fenway Park, the oldest ballpark in the United States and one of the top sports destinations in the world. Thirsty? Stop by one of Boston’s many breweries – Samuel Adams, Night Shift, and Aeronaut in Somerville are all popular spots. If you’re looking for something outdoors, try kayaking on the Charles River, or explore the Boston Harbor Islands.
North of Boston
The charming Massachusetts towns North of Boston all have their unique personalities and attractions, offering a variety of opportunities to explore as a family. If your dad likes the coast and the ocean, the Essex Costal Scenic Byway is the perfect route to explore – the picturesque route will take you through the rugged coastal scenery of northern Massachusetts. North of Boston also happens to be one of the premiere seafood destinations in the world. History lovers shouldn’t miss the historic canals and museums in Lowell, or the Revolutionary sites in Lexington and Concord. And Summer is the perfect time to go out to sea – try a whale watch or a fishing charter out of Gloucester!
South of Boston
South of Boston is perfect for dads who love maritime history, waterfront walks, and amazing food. Exploring the historic submarines, destroyers, and other exhibits at Battleship Cove is a great way to spend to spend time together and learn more about America’s naval history. The area is also the perfect place to taste something delicious – New Bedford and Fall River are known for their amazing seafood and Portuguese restaurants. In Plymouth, you can do it all – wander around the historic Plimoth Patuxet Museums, shop downtown, and have some incredible and unique food.
Cape Cod and The Islands

Starting on the 13th, June is also the perfect time to catch a Cape Cod Baseball League game.
Central Massachusetts
Central Massachusetts offers the perfect escape from the business of Boston or the Cape. Purgatory Chasm State Reservation, Mouth Wachusett, and Moore State Park are all great areas for a hike or an outdoor walk. Wormtown Brewery and Greater Good Imperial Brewing Company make for a wonderful beer crawl. Worcester is the perfect city to explore – catch a Worcester Red Sox game and walk around the Canal District for a relaxed afternoon. Western Massachusetts
