MARCH 2018

Dear Colleagues,

In Massachusetts, March is the month to celebrate Maple Syrup, Women’s History and Irish Heritage. Read this month’s MA Spotlight on Brendan Cronin, an Irish-born master chef who teaches hospitality management at Endicott College.

In April, MOTT rolls out a series of Craft Beverage Workshops and China Training Workshops across the state. The April 21-22 Discover New England Summit on Cape Cod is sure to be a highlight of the season.

Thank you for working with us to promote Massachusetts as a top destination for leisure and business travel.

Craft Beverage Workshops

MOTT has partnered with Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources to develop a series of workshops that support craft beverage businesses in the Commonwealth. Geared toward producers of beer, wine, cider and spirits, the workshops focus on marketing practices and brand strategy to attract culinary travelers. Attendees can expect compelling presentations and panels from host businesses, industry experts, ad agency Small Army, craft beverage associations and state resources. The workshops are open to craft beverage businesses and tourism professionals looking to network and better understand how to leverage this unique component of the culinary landscape. The workshops are being held at locations throughout the state on April 2, 9, and 23. For more information, or if you are interested in attending, please contact Shannon Healey.

Sports

Congratulations to Winter Olympic medalists Alex Shibutani (Figure Skating, Bronze) and Chris Mazdzer (Luge, Silver), just two of the many athletes with Massachusetts connections who competed in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
