JANUARY 2019

Dear Colleagues,

Happy New Year to our colleagues in travel and tourism. We wish you a fruitful and prosperous year in 2019.

MOTT is delighted to welcome newly appointed Secretary Mike Kennealy of the Executive Office of Housing & Economic Development, who was sworn in on December 28 to replace outgoing Secretary Jay Ash. EOHED oversees tourism, sports and film along with other departments in the secretariat.

In this month’s MA Spotlight, we profile TD Garden President Amy Latimer, a leader in sports marketing at one of North America’s most successful sports and entertainment venues. Of related interest, read our 2019 compilation of top sporting events in Massachusetts, as well as upcoming travel shows and trade missions taking place this season.

We are looking forward to a winter wonderland in the months ahead and to a successful year of attracting both domestic and international visitors. Thanks for working with us to make Massachusetts a premier travel destination.

Sincerely,

Francois-Laurent Nivaud
Executive Director
