Inspiring global connections: Travelnitch encourages kids to discover experiences around the world

Travelnitch is a woman-owned business based in Monson, MA. Below, the team shares some details on their business and the importance of supporting local.

Describe your business in 50 words or less.

Travelnitch inspires kids through virtual and real-world travel. We spark curiosity with hands-on learning, encourage growth through virtual exploration, and bridge the cultural divide through real-world experience.

What makes your business unique?

Travel teaches our kids to be more open to new and different people, places, and experiences. It shapes leaders who know how to coexist in a global community. As a nonprofit organization, we bring these benefits and more to families who would otherwise be held back by social-emotional, physical, or financial challenges. From travel writing workshops for teens to virtual tours and family travel grants, Travelnitch brings the world into underserved communities and is giving families a chance to explore, learn, and grow together.

What does your business look like?

We inform and entertain families through book recommendations, product reviews, travel stories, and hands-on learning activities. We encourage them to explore the world together through a mix of online and offline programming. Our World on Wheels is a mobile market that brings discounted travel books, games, and crafts to kids in underserved communities across Massachusetts. In 2023, we will be launching an all-new on-demand series of virtual tours just for kids. More information about all our programs can be found online at travelnitch.org/programs

Why is it important to support businesses like yours?

Travelnitch is a public charity that inspires kids through travel — because we believe travel has the power to change lives. It fosters empathy, builds confidence, and supports a more tolerant global perspective — outcomes that benefit us all. Our work is shaping a new generation of transformative leaders who will know how to coexist in a global community.
