Helping businesses thrive: Shored Up Digital optimizes marketing services for local businesses

Shored Up Digital is a women-owned marketing agency based in Edgartown, MA. Below, the owners share some details on their business and the importance of supporting local.

Describe your business

We’re Shored Up Digital, a social media management and digital marketing agency on Martha’s Vineyard. We work with local business owners to provide them with the tools they need to grow their brands online. From concept to strategy, implementation, and management, we help businesses reach their goals!

What makes your business unique?

We are one of the only agencies on Martha’s Vineyard that offers various digital marketing services, such as social media management, email marketing, website design, product photography, copywriting, and more.

What does your business look like?

Business partners Angela Prout and Marnely Murray work from home, balancing their other jobs (Angela is a hairstylist and Marnely is a pastry chef). Find them in their robes working from their laptops, computers, and phones. On days when they leave their homes, they have meetings with clients, photograph work on the island, and take in all that Martha’s Vineyard has to offer.

Why is it important to support businesses like yours?

As digital marketers, we take the offline world into the online world – where your offline reputation reflects within your social platforms, reviews, and more. We support our local businesses by making our services accessible, making our content approachable, and our calendars are always open to meet and connect with small business owners.

Do you want to say anything to your customers or guests?

We want to thank our clients for their trust and understanding of the value of digital marketing and its importance in the grand scheme of things. Your photos, posts, and reviews elevate our clients’ brands, and we are thankful to be a part of it.

How has your business changed or adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic?

The pandemic has made our business stronger. We have become the support small businesses need during these challenging times to strengthen their digital presence. As we have increased our client list, we have also expanded our services to meet the demands. We find ourselves needing new equipment to satisfy the need of the business community.
