Guided adventures: Frontier Cycling Tours offers excellent landscapes with delicious food
Frontier Cycling Tours is located in Sunderland, MA. Below, the owner shares some details on their business and the importance of supporting local.
Describe your business:
I own a small business based in Western Massachusetts offering bike tours. Over the past two tour seasons, May through October, I have partnered with other local businesses to create Farm and Bike Tours. My partners and I craft and lead guests on 4-hour tours through the Pioneer Valley to show them local farms and products.
What makes your business unique?
Our unique collabs offer eco-friendly bike tours that combine excellent Western Massachusetts landscapes with delicious food! I also provide guided and customized bike tours for guests coming into Pioneer Valley who are searching for an adventure beyond paved road cycling.
What does your business look like?
I started Frontier Cycling Tours two years ago, and I solely run operations, handle social media, and write blogs for the website. If you email or call, you will talk directly to me, the business owner. However, I collaborate with other local businesses to rent bikes, craft tours, and bring unique experiences to my guests.
Why is it important to support businesses like yours?
People’s sense of adventure and desire to be outdoors is important to me. My business survives and grows because people are craving healthy, eco-friendly ways to be active and at the same time learn and explore new areas.
Do you want to say anything to your customers?
Don’t be discouraged if you haven’t cycled in a long time. I work with each group to ensure they have a fun and rewarding experience while in Pioneer Valley. I can help you rent bikes and suggest lodging and places to eat.
How has your business changed or adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Being outdoor event-driven, I was lucky to be able to operate still but in a scaled-back way. My partners and I wear masks and follow all local mandates while going into stores and shops. Our guests also wear masks.
