Eclectic Treasures: Mrs. Swift’s & Moore Antiques and Gifts offers history and charm

Mrs. Swift’s & Moore Antiques and Gifts is a woman-owned business located in East Bridgewater, MA. Below, the owner shares some details on their business and the importance of supporting local.

Describe your business:

My delightful antique shop is located in an old Masonic Building built in 1892. It is situated in the Bridgewater Triangle and is loaded with history and positive energy. It’s a wonderful combination of the old and the new, featuring antiques, collectibles, fairies, gemstones, soaps, and books.

What makes your business unique?

My shop is full of eclectic treasures of the past, just waiting to be discovered. If walls could talk, what a story they could tell! Our guests are welcome to share a memory, , or browse through an array of vintage items of days gone by.

What does your business look like?

At my old-fashioned antique shop, customers are encouraged to handle items, ask questions, and ask, “Can you do any better?” Visit my Facebook page for additional information and photos.

Why is it important to support businesses like yours?

My shop has been in the Old Masonic Building for 13 years. Besides the apparent history within these walls, we have shared Historic Ghost Tours, presentations, and researched homes for our neighbors. Small businesses are an essential part of our community.

Do you want to say anything to your customers?

I enjoy all my customers immensely. Everyone has a story!

How has your business changed or adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic?

It has been challenging. Just going with the flow!
