Distilled from community: Boston Harbor Distillery collaborates with locals in their historic facility

Boston Harbor Distillery is a women-owned distillery located in Dorchester, MA. Below, the team shares some details on their business and the importance of supporting local.

Describe your business:

Boston Harbor Distillery opened at The Port on Boston Harbor in Dorchester in June 2015, reviving an entrepreneurial center from the mid-1800s. Boston Harbor Distillery creates proprietary craft spirits that integrate rich history, distinctive experiences, and beverage culture into each bottle it produces. Housed in a pre-Civil War era building overlooking Boston Harbor, the Distillery serves as both a distilling facility and event space, tasting room and mercantile, as well as an entertainment center for local music, comedy, and other events.

What makes your business unique?

What does your business look like?

Boston Harbor Distillery products are available at the source onsite at Boston Harbor Distillery, through our website, and at your favorite stores and restaurants.

Why is it important to support businesses like yours?

Boston Harbor Distillery prides itself on being part of the community. Its offerings include handmade regionally inspired products, in addition to being the center of education for whiskey and other spirit making. We showcase local musicians, comedians, chefs, and artisans in our historic Distillery.

Do you want to say anything to your customers?

We appreciate your business and thank you for helping spread the good word.

How has your business changed or adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic?

It’s been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, with closings and openings and a series of pivots. The efforts of our small but mighty team have kept the business afloat. Though we need the continued support of our community to get the business to the next level. Cheers!
