Celebrating made special: Olio is a modern event space for weddings, parties, and more

Olio is a woman-owned event space based in Peabody, MA. Below, the team shares some details on their business and the importance of supporting local.

Describe your business in 50 words or less.

A wedding planner and her mom bought a historic building and launched an award-winning indoor event venue just a few months before COVID. They made it through the pandemic and now help their clients turn dream events into realities in a unique, modern space.

What makes your business unique?

We are family owned and operated, located in the heart of Peabody Square, just 25 minutes north of Boston. We turned a 1912 historic building that was originally the Peabody Theater and transformed it into a 21st-century event space. Our unique space allows flexibility for all types of gatherings and events. Additionally, we offer our clients an open vendor policy, a choice of caterers, and open loft space with flexible layouts.

What does your business look like?

We are a modern and industrial event space available for weddings, parties, fundraisers, and so much more.

Why is it important to support businesses like yours?

Our business was devastated by the effects of COVID and is continuing to rebuild in an uncertain economy. It is a great time to utilize our space to host events!

Do you want to say anything to your customers or guests?

We feel so fortunate that hundreds of couples and organizations entrusted us with their special celebrations and gatherings. We can’t wait to see what’s next for Olio and our downtown Peabody location!
