What does your business look like?

McCue Garden Centers in Woburn and Billerica cater to all gardening abilities – from novice to the most experienced gardeners and landscapers alike. We offer container design as well as floral, plant, and mulch delivery. Constantly changing from season to season, you can expect greenhouses filled with pansies, tulips, daffodils, and Easter baskets in the spring. In the summertime, stop by to see lush container gardens with tropical plants – our dedicated staff is there to help with landscape design advice. Pumpkin displays, ornamental squashes, mums, and all things autumn fill McCue’s before the Christmas season. Turned into a magical winter wonderland, McCue offers ornaments, poinsettias, handmade wreaths, Christmas trees, and decorations for everyone during the holidays. Every season is a treat at McCue’s.

Why is it important to support businesses like yours?

The McCue Garden Center brings the community together through fundraisers and events. Our products are also locally sourced as often as possible to help the local economy. Additionally, we grow a significant amount of our products in-house to maintain lower costs and provide a rewarding work environment to our staff.

Do you want to say anything to your customers?

Words will never do justice to what our customers mean to us. While they have always been the backbone of our business, they have gone above and beyond this past year. From the patience they displayed while we worked through revamping our layout to provide a safe shopping experience to the kind words they gave when times were uncertain, our customers truly are the best and the reason why we show up every day!

How has your business changed or adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic?

If we learned anything this past year, it’s how to adapt to current times to keep our staff and customers safe. We implemented strict cleaning protocols and one-way shopping cues. We are grateful that a vast majority of our shopping area is outside or open-aired, making shopping easier and safer for all. Along with plexiglass barriers, we added a check-out station that can service customers while they remain outside. We offer a delivery service and curbside pick-up for those who are not ready to enter our store. Whatever your preference, we can’t wait to welcome you!
