Cape Cod & The Islands
On Martha’s Vineyard, visit the Aquinnah Cultural Center to learn the history of the Wampanoag, who have called the island home for thousands of years, and follow the African American History Trail, which tells the story of the island’s African American community across more than 30 sites, including homes, churches, and other places of note. Towering over Provincetown on Cape Cod, is the Pilgrim Monument, which commemorates the Mayflower Pilgrims’ first landing in the New World. At 252 feet, it’s the tallest all-granite structure in the United States, and it’s well worth the climb to the top to take in sweeping views of the town, beaches, and ocean.
