Greater Boston
Some of the most scenic sights in Greater Boston can be found in Boston’s Beacon Hill neighborhood. Capture the gold dome of the magnificent Massachusetts State House and the expertly decorated window boxes of row homes dating back to the late 1700s and early 1800s. Be sure to stop at nearby Acorn Street — one of the most photographed places in Massachusetts — and stroll down Charles Street, which is lined with impeccably decorated storefronts. After that, wander down through the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway to explore the seasonal outdoor art installations in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood.
To get the best unobstructed views of the city skyline and Boston Harbor, head to Piers Park in East Boston or take the 30-minute ferry ride to Spectacle Island, and climb to its highest point. You can also hop aboard the 80-foot Schooner Adirondack III for sightseeing or sunset cruises.
