Tower Hill's gardens and meadows provide bountiful food and shelter for a variety of butterflies in both their adult and larval forms. Join Martha Gach from Mass Audubon to learn about a butterfly's life cycle and how you can attract them to your own gardens. Walk the gardens with us to search for and identify some local species.
Martha Gach is the Mass Audubon Central Region Education Manager and the Conservation Coordinator at Broad Meadow Brook Sanctuary in Worcester, where she manages Broad Meadow Brook's 435 acres of conservation land for wildlife and people. Dr. Gach is President of the Massachusetts Butterfly Club and she coordinated the design, installation, and maintenance of the butterfly gardens and sustainable landscape campus at Broad Meadow Brook.
