To welcome the holiday season, hundreds of gorgeous glass ornaments, made by the region's finest glass artists, will adorn Christmas trees in the Museum and Museum Store. These truly unique creations will certainly be a focal point of your Christmas tree or your holiday décor or will make a perfect gift to many a recipient.
This year our special exhibit, Glass Menagerie: A-Z, will open on November 14, 2020. For centuries glassmakers have interpreted the animal kingdom in glass. From Ants to Zebras, the Sandwich Glass Museum will feature the works from our collection, our local glass artists, and will be augmented by items from the New Bedford Museum of Glass, which has an outstanding collection of glass animals. You are sure to find your favorite animal lurking in the zoo of glass creatures.
These often whimsical and sometimes practical creations entirely made of glass will be sure to delight both young and old alike. It is truly a special time at the Sandwich Glass Museum. A-Z will be extended until 6/13/21
