In this talk, Bill offers a demonstration of the equipment and techniques he used to make the images in his exhibit Monochrome, Mon Amour, Photographic portraits of growing things in black & white. This setup also happens to be what one might use when photographing products for Ebay, Etsy, and other internet platforms. The information will be especially useful to artists who want to photograph their own work for internet sale or posting online.
If this was an in-person talk, Bill would ask participants to bring your own small pieces to photograph along with their own camera. Bill would then work with you to get some good shots of your art or object that you take home in your own camera. As this is a Zoom demo, that won't be possible, but he will be open for questions!
Bill Rowley lives and photographs in Western Massachusetts. His prize-winning images have been exhibited in numerous area galleries. He has authored an article on cross-polarization for EOS Magazine, and was instrumental in establishing the photography program at Riverside Industries. Bill has also served as president of the Pioneer Valley Photographic Artists.
