Right after Thanksgiving, the heart of Nantucket transforms into a winter wonderland with more than one hundred gaily decorated Christmas trees lining Main, Centre, Federal and Easy streets. The shops and restaurants are decked out for the holiday season with gaily decorated windows and winter window boxes. Shops and restaurants will limit occupancy - or order takeout and enjoy your dinner by the fireplace in the dining room at the Brass Lantern. The Whaling Museum will have its customary Festival of Trees - which will be a cheery and hopeful way to end this very challenging year.
