Hamill Gallery of Tribal Art, located in Boston, is a 7000 sq. ft. exhibition space showing objects from 160 tribal groups, giving a balanced view of subjects, styles and techniques used for centuries in Africa. Works on display include masks, figures, artifacts and textiles, giving an idea of the visual impact and spiritual power of tribal art. Every three months special exhibitions highlight one tribe or theme. Usually open Th, Fri and Sat noon - six but please do call ahead to make sure we're there.
