Previously known as a rundown warehouse district in Boston, the art & design district has since experienced a dramatic renaissance, blossoming into a world-renowned retail & artistic community in Boston's South End. Today, SoWa is made up of a one of-a-kind artist studios, galleries, shops, restaurants, entrepreneurs, businesses and residences that believe in crafting quality, one-of-a-kind products and letting their creativity shine. Each day, hundreds of artists work tirelessly in their Studios churning out masterpieces, world-famous exhibits routinely go on display at our host of critically acclaimed galleries, and thousands of people flock to SoWa for Events such as SoWa First Fridays, the SoWa Art Walk and SoWa Open Studios.
