The Center for Coastal Studies has been providing award winning marine education programs since 1976. Visit our new exhibition hall to learn about the life of a very special humpback whale named Spinnaker! The remains of the humpback whale Spinnaker are on display at the center. The 11-year-old, 35 foot long humpback whale was named for the pattern on the underside of her tail; one straight and one curved line that together resembled a spinnaker sail.
