Lucy Vincent Beach is open to Chilmark residents only and requires a pass. It is located on Lucy Vincent Beach Road off of State Road in Chilmark. It is known as a surfers' beach, though is also known for its scenic view of the clay cliffs. There are large rocks, left by the receding glaciers a millennia ago, scattered among the waters of the beach. If you walk farther down Lucy Vincent Beach there is a section that allows nude sunbathing and swimming; it is one of Martha's Vineyard's only nude beaches. There is a parking area that requires a pass; dogs are prohibited.
