Spring is here and it’s the time for Massachusetts to come alive with vibrant spring festivals. From spring blooms to lively music, family-friendly fun, and arts celebrations, there’s an event for every interest. These festivals will help you to embrace all things spring in Massachusetts across the state. 

Central Massachusetts: Brimfield Brew Fest 

Brimfield | Early April | 2025 Date: April 12
The Brimfield Brew Fest is an engaging celebration featuring over 40 breweries and homebrewers from across New England. Attendees can enjoy unlimited sample pours, savor offerings from various food trucks, and explore local vendors. This event is held rain or shine, making it a must-visit for craft beer enthusiasts looking to experience the region’s brewing talents. 

Cape Cod & The Islands: Nantucket Daffodil Festival 

Nantucket | Late April | 2025 Dates: April 24 – 27
A true sign of spring, the Nantucket Daffodil Festival transforms the island into a golden paradise with thousands of blooming daffodils. The highlight is the whimsical Daffodil Parade, featuring antique cars decorated with dazzling floral arrangements. Other festivities include a children’s parade, tailgate picnic, and art shows, making it a perfect family-friendly getaway. 

Western Massachusetts: Daffodil and Tulip Festival at Naumkeag 

Stockbridge | Mid-April – May | 2025 Dates: Thursday – Sunday, April 18 – May 11
Nestled in the scenic Berkshires, the Trustee’s Naumkeag property hosts its annual Daffodil and Tulip Festival – a breathtaking celebration of spring blooms. Wander through a kaleidoscope of colors in gardens bursting with over 130,000 daffodils and tulips. The festival also features live music, food vendors, and special evening illuminations for a magical experience. Advance tickets are recommended due to high demand. 

South of Boston: ArtWeek SouthCoast 

Fall River & New Bedford | May | 2025 Dates: May 8 – 18
ArtWeek SouthCoast is an annual festival celebrating creativity across the South Coast region, including Fall River and New Bedford. The event features over 50 unique and interactive experiences, such as gallery shows, live performances, poetry readings, and painting demonstrations. It’s an excellent opportunity to engage with local artists and immerse yourself in the vibrant cultural scene of the area.

North of Boston: Newburyport Spring Fest 

Newburyport | Memorial Day Weekend | 2025 Dates: May 24 – 25
Held in the charming coastal town of Newburyport, Spring Fest is an exciting event featuring artisan vendors, live music, and fantastic local cuisine. The festival takes place in Market Square and along the waterfront, making it the perfect way to enjoy a spring weekend by the water. Visitors can also explore Newburyport’s historic sites, boutiques, and scenic harbor cruises.
