Some of the world’s best golfers are heading to the Salem Country Club in Peabody from June 26 to July 2 to compete in the 38th annual U.S. Senior Open Championship.
Sponsored by the United States Golf Association (USGA), the championship provides golf enthusiasts and casual fans alike with an unforgettable experience, as elite senior golfers such as John Daly, Vijay Singh, Michael Allen and many others compete for top prizes and bragging rights.  Professional and amateur golfers age 50 and older with a Handicap Index® not exceeding 3.4 are eligible to compete in the U.S. Senior Open Championship.

Adding to the excitement, Hockey Hall of Famer and Boston Bruins legend Ray Bourque will serve as honorary chairman of the championship.  He will take part in events throughout the week, highlighted by a Junior Clinic with PGA TOUR Champions on Tuesday, June 27th.
This is the sixth time a USGA championship is being held at the acclaimed Salem Country Club in Peabody, a vibrant city in the North of Boston region. Golf fans are encouraged to explore all of the region’s incredible offerings from arts and culture activities, to historic tours, seaside adventures, and more!
