The Brimfield Antique Show is open from May 10th to 15th!

The Brimfield Antique Show – arguably one of the best markets for collectibles, antiques, and flea market miscellany that ever was, is, or will bekicked off yesterday for the first of three shows this year. Crowds will flock in search of hidden treasures and a passive way to meet their 10,000 daily step goal. Operating since 1959, this is the largest show of its kind in the US and draws visitors from every corner of the globe.

It’s a veritable feast for the eyes and ingenious minds will marvel at the possibilities. From vintage threads to decorative ceramics, airplane parts to wooden toys, defunct street signs to comics… the list literally goes on and on. With over 4,000 dealers and vendors to peruse, if you can’t find it here, there’s a very good chance it doesn’t exist.

Expect to rub elbows with couples from abroad on a quest to furnish their chic apartments, weekend warriors in need of a new project, and casual “window shoppers” soaking up vitamin D. Some visitors have their favorite dealers while others meander until they find that perfect je ne sais quois. Tip to the wise: bring a map, and be sure to mark the field and stall of the vendors you want to return to. Oh, and don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes, stay hydrated, and maybe even schedule in a second day. This is the real deal, folks!
