Twice a year Boston’s finest, and most expensive, restaurants reduce their prices for two weeks in the winter (March 18-23, March 25-30) and two weeks in the summer, for the extremely popular Restaurant Week Boston. For many, Restaurant Week is the rare opportunity to dine at the most beautiful, delicious, and award-winning restaurants in the city – at a fraction of their regular cost.
During Restaurant Week, food lovers can enjoy a 3-course dinner for just $33.12. Separate from the regular menu, the prix fixe Restaurant Week menu consists of 3-5 appetizer options, a handful of entrées to choose from, and a few dessert options to top off your night.
From B&G Oysters to Eastern Standard to 49 Social, diners can choose from a variety of exquisite cuisines. Or, from Jason Santos to Jody Adams to Lydia Shire, diners can choose from an abundance of celebrity chefs.
Blue Inc., the new restaurant from Jason Santos of Hell’s Kitchen (FOX), has baked figs or zucchini soup for an appetizer, duck confit, grilled swordfish or mussel frites for the entrée, and a choice of chocolate cheesecake or strawberry tiramisu for dessert.
Jody Adams, a James Beard award-winner and a former contestant on Top Chef Masters (Bravo), is featuring a delicious Restaurant Week menu at Rialto, her popular Harvard Square restaurant. Some of Rialto’s entrée options include: pea ravioli, New England haddock, and roast chicken.
The legendary Lydia Shire will also be dazzling taste buds at her beautiful Scampo inside the Liberty Hotel. For Starters, Scampo will offer a beef sirloin carpaccio with Gorgonzola dolce drizzle, watercress and radish rounds. Entrées include: haddock parmigiana, duck confit, and butternut squash ravioli – tiramisu or dark chocolate mousse are the tempting desserts.
Boston has some of the best restaurants in the country, and Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to taste a bunch of them at a reduced cost. If you can’t dine at every restaurant this week, then please join us again in August for the summer edition of Restaurant Week.
